The School of Styling has a very special place in my heart. When Kaitlin held the first workshop at the Merrimon-Wynne House in Downtown Raleigh, she asked me to create little individual cakes for each attendee. It was one of my first big gigs and I was super nervous about how everything was going to turn out. I stayed up all night to make sure that everything was perfect and only went to take a cat nap after I was satisfied. The day of the workshop was ridiculously hot and I alternated between yelling at Jeff to be careful taking the turns and fussing at him to drive faster so the cakes wouldn’t melt. Thankfully, they all made it there in one piece and I got gorgeous photos from Emily March Payne.
Since then, I’ve been a proud sponsor for almost every single School of Styling workshop and the Summer Bash was no different. We created a dessert table full of Southern goodness (and some of my all-time favorites). There were mini key lime pies, banana pudding shooters, and strawberry shortcake shooters. I usually don’t brag on my desserts, but these were absolutely delicious. I’m so, so grateful that Ally and Bobby were on hand to capture these lovely images – they make such a fabulous photography team!
Of course, no self-respecting dessert table is complete without beautiful serving dishes and gorgeous signage. Thank you Cottage Luxe and Sidney Hunter Design Co.
