There are a handful of creatives who can take a white textured cake and make it fine art. And Amy and Alaina are two of the rare ones. If you don’t want to take my word for it, check out our other styled shoot. I’m always grateful for the ability to collaborate with these two talented ladies, and this time was no different. The Ivy Rose Barn is still under construction, but the renderings of it are absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to see all of the photos from weddings at the greenhouse and main building.
For this editorial shoot, we created a two-tier buttercream cake with a lot of texture. This look became popular after Harry and Meghan’s wedding cakes were revealed. All it takes is a icing smoother and a palette knife! I love how Amy’s vision of only using vines to decorate the cake came together. And can we talk about the dress?! It was all our wedding vendor circle talked about when the pictures hit Instagram.
Tell me, would you consider this style of cake?
