I’m so excited to start the week off by sharing this absolutely gorgeous editorial that featured in Trendy Bride Magazine. It’s one of two Sugar Euphoria features in the beautiful publication and I’m just so honored that I was asked to be included in this shoot with such a stellar cast of vendors.
There are so many stunning elements in this shoot, but I want to talk about the color palette for just a second. You’re probably thinking to yourself, “Randi is always talking colors and inspiration boards” and you’re right! Color and design elements are so very important to the creation of a beautiful cake. I really believe that a cake that doesn’t fit the theme of a wedding can take the reception from classy to not-so-classy. Anyway, this color palette was beautiful! I loved the rose quartz, berry hues, lilac gray, along with touches of gold and silver. Plus, there were some very interested patterns involved, from marble, to the classic black and white ballroom floor of the Separk Mansion, to the dark and moody backdrop. We incorporated the rose quartz in the top tier of the cake and the lilac gray as a marbled effect in the bottom two layers.
Ally King and Tiffany Pritchett nailed this shoot and I’m so happy that they invited me to create magic with them.
And as a side note: I’m envious of the bride’s hair!
