Stefanie took Old Hollywood Glamor and knocked it out of the park for her Chapel Hill nuptials! Her hair, the invitation suite, the tablescape by Viva L’Event, her dress… a dress that I’m still mesmerized by… it was absolutely stunning. For her wedding cake, we create a fun combination of design elements that included […]
Amanda + Justin’s wedding married timeless and elegant decor with what seemed to be a fun and rowdy reception. Their North Ridge Country Club nuptials incorporated tons of white and varying shades of gold was simple, yet stunning. You all know how much I love gold foil, and it’s pretty obvious that Amanda feels the […]
I have such a soft spot for elopements and really intimate weddings. Jeff and I were married in front of our immediate family during dusk at Duke Gardens. It was really short and sweet, much like Danna and Gib’s wedding at Coker Arboretum at UNC . My sweet friend Emily March Payne was on hand […]
Mallory and Bradley were married on beautiful afternoon in September at The Cotton Room in Durham, NC. During our consultation it was apparent that Mallory was full of great ideas for their wedding cake and dessert table.
Melanie and Alex were one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. I had such a great time during our consultation and I’m so happy that I was able to meet with them while they were visiting Raleigh from San Dieg
What do you do when your husband’s close friend asks you to create a wedding cake on the same day as your due date? You say, “Sure! I’ll do it! We’ll make it work!”, but internally you’re thinking that the pregnancy hormones have taken over your brain and you’ve officially lost it. I just prayed that I would be able to at least deliver the cake before the baby made her appearance. Their cake consisted of our Summer Lovin’ and Southern Belle flavors, and was decorated with navy quilting with gold dragees, gold luster and navy ribbon – timeless and elegant.
t’s a perfect day here in Raleigh. The sun is shining after so many dreary and rainy days. The birds are chirping outside my back door. There’s not a cloud in the sky. As an island girl, I live for dreamy days like this.
Speaking of dreamy days, Amanda and Michael’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful! Their color palette of blue, yellow, and gray made for such a bright and cheerful wedding. It didn’t hurt that the morning sunlight was filling The Cotton Room. Ariel Perry did an amazing job capturing their day. Also, a huge ‘Thank You’ to Sabrina Seymore Events for the referral.
In case you haven’t figured it out by now, I love weddings. I love what they represent – the joining of two hearts, two souls, two families. I love the little details that are special to the bride and groom. I love the traditional weddings, the quirky ones, the super modern ones. I love them […]
The day is finally here people! I’m so excited to share this colorful & modern styled shoot with y’all! Heather of Eclectic Sage + Brent of Live View Studios designed and planned this photoshoot after being inspired by the sunset. It’s vibrant, modern, minimalistic and pure perfection. We decided to play up the copper elements […]
When your friends come to you and say, “Randi, you can be as creative as you want with our wedding cake. We trust you!”, you know that you have to bring your A-game. Then when you find out that the invitations actually have the same artwork as one of the most talked about Hip-Hop albums […]
