I think that it is so important for a bride to have the ‘getting ready’ process document on her wedding day. There is something so magical about the moments a bride spends getting ready with her bridesmaids. The luxury of getting your hair and make-up done. The gleam in everyone’s eyes as the bride puts on her gown. The excitement in the room as they leave for the ceremony. For me, this was definitely a highlight of the day, as I reminisced with my best friends, cousins, and my mom while getting all dolled up.
The Sweet Southern Style editorial in Trendy Bride Magazine captures the essence of the bride’s getting ready experience. The mix of modern and traditional elements perfectly capture what I believe will be one of the more sought after wedding designs in 2016. Every aspect of this editorial came together perfectly – from the light-filled photos by Jake and Heather Beerman to the gorgeous florals by Simply Elegant Floral Designs, from the beautiful stationery by One and Only Paper to the delicious food by Beau Catering. Stephanie from Viva L’Event did an outstanding job pulling all of the pieces together and I’m in awe of her skills.
I loved the color palette and was so happy that we decided to decorate the cake with real honeycombs. The geometric shape of the combs and the way the honey dripped down the cake complemented the tall white and marbled tiers. Oh, and the mirror and cake table? I love it!
