There’s something extra-special about creating desserts for the wedding for very dear friends, and Maya and Jarrette were no exception. Maya and Jeff are really great friends and we’ve spent many nights cooking out at our house. She’s been there to celebrate our engagement, marriage and our pregnancy announcement. So when her and Jarrette got engaged, I literally jumped off the couch to tell Jeff, who I’m sure thought I was crazy.
I was so happy when the fabulous Elana of Elana Walker Events told me that they wanted me to create a wedding cake and cupcake tower for the Pittmans, especially because I knew Maya wanted to incorporate some really unique cupcake flavors. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and had the right mix of elegant decor and fun (there are multiple pictures of me on the dancefloor at 7 months pregnant!).
It really was an honor to not only create this cupcake tower, but to witness the union of two very special people!
P.S. How gorgeous are they?! And how amazing is Lauren of Lauren Cowart Photography?!
Happy Anniversary Maya + Jarrette!!
