We’ve had to get more creative since COVID – smaller weddings mean smaller wedding cakes, virtual planning meetings weddings, and now socially distant wedding expos. Thankfully, we were able to showcase some Raleigh wedding cakes for couples in the area.

The Bradford is a stunning wedding venue with a European aesthetic in New Hill. They recently added a beautiful ballroom to the grounds had plans for a launch party and expo for brides pre-COVID but had to pivot to another format – a socially distant expo.

Vendors were invited to set up a table so that couples could view our services over a span of two days. The mood board featured lots of greenery, plants, black and white. I decided to create a wedding cake trio and incorporate a modern watercolor design in black, grey and white. The florals and greenery from Bowerbird Florals were amazing and the perfect addition to the cakes!

I miss all of my friends in the wedding industry and am missing the face-to-face with my couples but I am so glad we have been able to pivot into new ideas!
