Last weekend, one of my earliest couples celebrated their one year anniversary. Their wedding was really special to me for a number of reasons.
1). Melissa was so bubbly and likeable during our initial consultation! From the moment I met her, I knew that I wanted to create the cake for her and Ian’s special day. Plus, she picked some really cool flavors like [Oreo] Cookie Monster, Summer Lovin and Falling in Love. When she came to pick up her complimentary anniversary tier (Yup! We like to spoil our brides), we chatted like old friends.
2). It was the first wedding that I was able to work with the magnificent Priscilla of Orangerie Events. We worked on a gorgeous styled shoot previously, so I knew that the wedding would be no different. I was right. Everything was so gorgeous!
While I don’t have the complete set of pictures from the wedding (because that would be slightly stalkerish), I do have some amazing cake photos that were taken by Keli Brown. If you’re not familiar with her, please do yourself a favor and check out her portfolio. I absolutely love her style! If you want to see more photos from their wedding, head on over to Keli’s blog.
Loving the florals by Brides and Bouquets!
How adorable is this cake topper?!?
Moody candles? Yes, please!
Happy Anniversary Melissa and Ian! I love receiving photos of the bride and groom cutting their cake. The smiles on their faces remind me just how much I love my profession.
