Do you ever walk into someone’s house, or shop and realize that almost every design element speaks to you on a personal level? Yes? Great, so you understand how I felt when I walked into Anna and Kevin’s wedding at Market Hall. The clean, industrial theme mixed with the floral elements had my name written all it. I was tempted to grab Jeff and stand under the arbor, but I realized that it probably wouldn’t be too professional.
When Anna sent over photos of her dream cake, I knew that I wanted to take it up a notch. Instead of painting on fondant, I opted to use a special buttercream on buttercream method to achieve the abstract look. For the copper effect, I painted the luster dust directly on to cold buttercream. I am so happy with the finished look – especially once the flowers were placed.
