If you ever thought that winter weddings had to be drab or styled using Christmas decor, you are wrong my friend. Forage + Film debunked that idea during The Studio workshop, hosted at The Merrimon-Wynne House in downtown Raleigh. Styled by Happily Ever After and Greenhouse Picker Sisters, this shoot had a bold color palette of bright reds, berry tones, and dusty blues. The details are so abundant that I could never highlight everything, but please notice the sequins, tulle, and black decor (like the plates by Arrow and Sage and the dark candles). Flowers on Broad Street and Beau Catering helped to adorn the tablescape with lush florals and a delicious fruit and cheese spread.
Now, let’s talk about the cake. As much as I love large wedding cakes, there’s something special about a small cutting cake for intimate gatherings. For this editorial, we chose to dress up the semi-naked cake with gorgeous blooms and beautiful berries. If you’re going to go naked, I suggest that you jazz it up with fresh, organic elements.
