The Cotton Room - Real Weddings: Michelle & Melvin

There are so many words that I can use to describe Michelle + Melvin’s brunch wedding at The Cotton Room – industrial, earthy, relaxed, It’s as if Fern Gully was placed inside an old warehouse.

Michelle used so many types of succulents, herbs, and other plants that i don’t think anyone could name them all. Some of my personal favorites from their wedding were the fern-covered arbor, the packets of seeds that guests received as favors, and floral-filled geometric lanterns.

Michelle requested gingerbread cake, since it’s her favorite dessert flavor, and we were happy to oblige. I adore the way it was simply decorated with ferns and the cutest wooden cake toppers that Michelle painted herself.

The Cotton Room is a beautiful fully inclusive wedding venue in Durham, NC. Not only are they available for weddings, but also rehearsal dinners, engagement parties as well as social and corporate events. Fully inclusive services include event planning, food and beverage and serving staffs.
